This creative liturgy invites you to walk “the way of sorrows” to the cross, but through the eyes and experiences of one of Jesus’ closest disciples. As a nod to the Stations of the Cross, this service highlights Peter’s role in the crucifixion narrative. In this way, we follow Jesus to his death with Peter as our companion. By focusing on Peter, we imagine how we might have acted and behaved had we been there as one of Jesus’ followers and friends.
This liturgy was created by Rev. T. Denise Anderson and features her original artwork, The Descent, inspired by Peter’s denials.

This interactive, skit-based children’s curriculum contains 7 weeks of lessons for Lent through Easter. The lessons include a variety of ways for children (approximately ages 5–11) to explore the Tell Me Something Good sub-themes and Gospel stories, through rejoicing together in song, telling the story through skits, and engaging further with the theme through crafts, books, and games.
Inspired by the tradition of reading the passion narrative on Palm/Passion Sunday, the accompanying Lenten play tells the good news of Jesus' ministry from his first miracle in Cana to the resurrection. The Act I scenes follow our Tell Me Something Good focal texts for Lent, while the Act II scenes follow Jesus' final week, from the triumphal entry to the tomb. A final Easter Epilogue closes the play as a reminder that death does not have the last word. This play is designed for an intergenerational cast and an audience of all ages. It can be staged at any point during the season.
