Like the magi from the east we travel into the unknown
Step by step we make the journey, called by God to seek the throne
Over mountains, through the deserts
Seeking Christ, we follow ever

Where we hope to see God’s face

If we find our path has led us to King Herod’s den of fear
Still we’ll keep our focus fixed on chasing down that star so clear
Though the tyrants rage and threaten
Nothing weakens our profession:
It is God’s voice we have heard

We will trust that star to guide us to the place where we were called
Finding God embodied in the humblest dwelling place of all
As King Herod sends his soldiers

When new threats derail our journey from the path we planned to take

Staying nimble, we’ll move forward
Keeping safe by crossing borders
