A collection of over 57 prayers, this resource provides fresh language for worship inspired by the RCL Year C scriptures for Ash Wednesday through Easter and our Lent theme, Full to the Brim. We’ve included liturgy for 9 weeks and holy days: Ash Wednesday, the 1st-5th Sundays in Lent, Palm/Passion Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday. (For Maundy Thursday, we have created a separate full creative worship service.)

For each of these holy days, we provide: A call to worship, a call to confession, a prayer of confession, words of forgiveness, a prayer for illumination, and an affirmation of faith. We have also included a general communion liturgy (for use any week of Lent), communion liturgy for Easter, and a benediction for the series. We hope you will copy/paste or adapt these prayers for your corporate worship (with credit).

EXCERPT:

Prayer for Illumination from the 2rd Sunday in Lent | Full to the Brim { Under God’s wing

Holy God,
this life of ours is full to the brim.
Our days are overflowing with emails and to-do lists,
schedules and notifications,
assignments and deadlines.
We wake up feeling behind,
we go to sleep worrying about tomorrow,
and we know—there has to be more than this.
So we pray:
bend down and show us the way.
Leave breadcrumbs in the street.
Point us toward awe and wonder.
Guide us to intimacy and trust.
Gift us with laughter that will make us cry
and hope that will make us feel alive.

We want a new kind of full to the brim.
Show us the way.
We are listening for your cues.

Gratefully we pray, amen.
